Jumper wire on MIL blink code circuit

    Hello All

I wired in my MIL circuit today to read any fault codes but I'm not sure exactly how to retrieve them.

The light on the dash illuminates when the ignition is turned on then goes out after it's started. If for instance i pull on injector lead off when the car is running this causes the light to illuminate but how do i read the codes.

Do i still need to use a jumper wire?

    Look forward to your reply.

    Regards
    Gordon

yes just use the jumper to retrieve the codes. Paul N has very detailed info on S2Central about it

I have only ever used the LED method plugged into the OBD plugs. I have to use a jumper to read mine. i guess your dash light is just working as an LED so you would still need to use a jumper or wire in a switch. I stand to be corrected though.

        Thanks
