If I remember correctly, there is a braided ground line between the engine and the chassis. However, I do not recall where it is located.

It does look odd that the connectors are not paired. After all, thats the idea of colour coding them!
Have you or previous owner replaced the coils or repaired the wiring? As long as the correct signal went from the POS to the coil I don't suppose it would matter if somehow the connectors were transposed during repacement/repair.
Would have thought there would have been bigger problems if they were truely mixed up but worthwhile investigating that the various inputs/outputs are as outlined in the previous posts.Comment
