funy thing is that most of the time I dont have any error codes... check engine blinks 4 4 4 4 ... but on some days check engine turns on almost twice a day with 2 3 2 2 code ... and that is IAT... so what I do I reset my ECU like twice a day to erase the code... I think rs 200 wrote about all the other issues connected 2 this particular case.

today we change IAT sensor with OEM one 034 905 379C , ("B"is replacement) , check all wires and result is BIG difference .
engine finally have old fury and it became wild on middle revs, spool better and go much faster. even on 0.5bar you can feel the difference.
I honestly want to believe that 2322 fault code will never ever be on that car .Comment

According to S2Central.net's ABY ECU pin-out info, the signal between the G42 IAT and Pin T55/44 at the ECU is a sw/ge (black with a yellow stripe) wire. The second wire is sw/li (black/pink(violet)) and goes to ECU Pin T55/38 which is probably the switched 12V source (could be 5V).

Lovely!thanks Dave
Now I need to find out which way round they go on the sensor,(1.8t type),or does it not matter???Comment

Are you running VEMS? I ask because the 1.8T IATs work the opposite than the AAN/ABY/ADU IATs = fk'd up signals on a Motronic ECU.
With the AAN/ABY/ADU ECU, the G42 IAT resistance goes up with increasing temp. With the 1.8T IAT, the resistance goes down with increasing temps.
AAN/ABY/ADU IAT resistance vs temp:
