I did that before i took it for a spin earlier. I'll give it a couple of days to adapt.
IAT (G42) Wiring Problem

I bridged the connectors on the water manifold and it all runs fine. It's never come on on its own all the time i have owned it, of course the temp switch could be faulty. I bet of all the cars on this forum there are more with a non running after-run system.Comment

I guess the key point is as I suggested in Post 7 of this thread, i.e. pay attention to the wire colours:
"1. The G42 intake air temp sensor (IAT) is a two pin. On an AAN, the wire colours are Brown/Blue from the T55/44 (ECU pin 44) and a Green/Blk wire that goes to ground (somewhere).
2. The N71 Idle speed control valve (ISV) is a two pin. It has a white/yellow wire from T55/4 (to control the ISV location) and a red power wire that comes through the S75 fuse.
3. The after-run pump. It has three wires but a 2 pin connector. A white/blk and a blk/white wire (presumably two 12V relayed power sources) are siamesed into one pin and a third wire, brown/black (presumably a ground) in the second pin.
On an AAN and I would guess on an ABY, it might be possible to swap the 2 pin connector on the ISV and the IAT. They are the same size and the wire lengths make it possible to make this minor, but important, mistake. It also looks potentially possible to swap the after-run pump into the wrong position in an AAN but I doubt that it is physically possible in an ABY situation."Last edited by UrS4boy; 13 May 2013, 21:11.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

I have updated my G42 Intake Air Temp sensor info post to add a note about checking the wire colours to prevent mis-connecting the IAT, ISV and/or after-run pump connectors.

I am not sure why there would be an issue. Even if they changed the colour of the IAT itself from brown to black, the harness connector for the IAT is brown (first photo below) and the after-run pump is black (second photo, under first)
Brown 2 pin harness connector connected to, as it happens, a brown IAT:

After-run pump connector - black in the lower middle, unlabeled, in this photo:

tnx guys for big explanation , but I check everithing for 5 times and 100% sure that conector of IAT is at right place.
at stock engine loom was black IAT (welded) and I change it with brown, which can be removed.
can that cause problem ? are there any difference betwen them ?Comment

Sorry I forgot that some (all?) 3Bs had IATs soldered to the harness. I don't think there is an issue using an AAN, ABY or ADU IAT on a 3B. I know there is an issue with the 1.8t IATs - their resistance works in the opposite way.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan
