Car wont run for more than 30 secs...

    Morning Chaps...
After taking me to church on my wedding day last year, the old girl has been sitting on the driveway for the last 12 months. (ABY)
Last night I decided to see if it would start. Charged the battery and a couple of cranks later it started...and running fine.
30 seconds later and it coughed and died. Tried cranking again and nothing, not even trying to fire and no fuel pump noise. Is there anything which could have failed and caused the pump to shut down, I know a boost leak will do this, but at idle?
Any light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    James
ps, got code 4431 - ISV...?

Also forgot to mention...after it died, I cracked the braided fuel line and no fuel pressure at all when ignition on or cranking. Disconnected the battery for half an hour and reconnected to find it fired up ok for another 30 seconds then stopped...

Yes, put 12v to the pump and it runs fine...only been on about 2 years and done less than 1000 miles, but has been standing a while.
Once the car starts it only runs for about 30 seconds, thats whats strange.

So is the fuel pump lossing power? Any pinched pipes or a clogged filter? Ignition switch?

Yes, seems its loosing power after about 30 seconds.
Filter is new (ish), and fuel lines have been replaced.

did you do this directly or through the relay. You could try tripping the relay manually with the cover off using a screwdriver and see if it keeps running.

if you take it out and pop the plastic cover off the top you'll see its quite straight forward. Pop it back in minus the cover, then ignition on and push the copper/bronze tab over and it will contact and you'll hear the pump run.
just in case...If using something metal don't touch anything else it's 12v live.

Thanks...will try that later and let you know the results...If my pump has died, surely it wouldn't run intermmitantly for short periods...or would it?!

                    Thanks

Does it run if you bypass the fuel pump relay?

                      Also review these two threads

from experience when a pump is on the way out it can run intermittently for a while.
from your description i don't think that is your problem though.
