    RS2 Engine Mount compatability

I'm a bit confused on which Engine Mounts are required for the RS2. The parts catalog implies that they are the same as those from the Coupe Quattro. The mounts that are in the car now have the same part numbers as the CQ so I ordered a set of Meyle mounts for the CQ. (In Canada you can't order RS2 specific parts locally).

I removed the existing mount and noticed it was not lining up properly with the bolt holes and I believe this may have contributed to them failing. I see on 034 motorsports site that theY reference an offset engine mount for S2's and RS2's which leads me to believe these cars require different mounts.

Can anyone confirm this for me? The part numbers for the mounts that are currently on the car are

    443 199 379 D and
    443 199 379 E.

    Dave:

The 443 199 379 D show up as a 7A CQ right mount with air conditioning that does NOT cross to the RS2. It does however, work for my C4 S4 with its AAN.

    443 199 379 E is also a 7A non-aircon right mount and a C4 UrS4 AAN left mount.

    The proper RS2 mounts are:

8A0199382D right with air con, 382C without aircon.
8A0199382 *no letter* left, air con, 381 (not letter) left, air con.
These were also for ABY S2s, etc. after a certain VIN number.

When you bring 8A0199382D and 381 back to North America to check what they came on here, the answer is nothing. Looks like you need to either need to source parts out of Europe or figure out a bodge to make the CQ mounts work.

Dave T: Perhaps a kind soul in the UK or Europe could help you. Or perhaps Pete at QuattroCorner? I am not sure where else you could order the proper RS2 mounts and get them shipped to out to the colonies.

they aren't the same as the CQ but are the same as the S2 range which you didn't get in the US

The RS2 mounts are S2 aircon ones

Quattro Corner indeed sell these and should be able to ship to the US or S2avant on here via TPS

To be clear, Dave T. ("Canadian RS2") and I are in the colony, Canada, not the US. But the comment is the same, we did not get the S2s in North America, just the 7A CQ and 7A B3 Sport sedans (in 1990 and 1991). It looks like the previous owner used 7A mounts to replace the failed RS2 mounts, hence Dave T's problem.

          Hopefully quattrocorner can help out.
