Low Coolent light not working

Hello, my s2 aby avant has lost all it's Coolent out of the expansion bottle, I'm putting a new cap on tomorrow as I think it's coming from there, but when the bottle was empty the warning light did not come on to warn me, and also when I disconnect the plug from under the expansion tank it still doesn't come on , I've checked all fuses and the rest of the autocheck system works perfect. Any help and pointers would be most appreciated thanks. It's the first issue I've had with it in the 22 months of owning it

Probably the sensor in the tank, just change the tank. From memory if you bridge the pins on the plug then the level warning will come on as a test

Thanks, i have now tried the method by you jamo and the warning light popped up, so I have ordered a new expansion bottle, Thanks
