Prj - glad to help you for a change, normally it's the other way around
So we checked the timing, low and behold it was a little out. After moving the timing one tooth and putting all back together she doesn't throw up the code anymore! Brilliant.
We are going to buy a little voltage transformer which brings 12V down to 5V, that way the sensors will be fed 5V and hopefully the chipped ECU can be used (fingers crossed!).
It's good to have a thread like this to gather thoughts and get to the bottom of the problem. Thanks to all for their help!
