    Turbo and injector info required

    Some advise required.
Firstly, not looking for massive power but between 380 and 400bhp retaining low lag and quick throttle response (400bhp in a series 2 weighing 1300kg plenty for me) and selection reduced to GT2871 or GT3071 after lots of reading on here. Question is if both mapped for 400bhp would both produce the same torque and what boost pressure would each be running at to achieve this power and torque and at what revs?
Also after some Bosch 440cc injectors to go with the 7A regulator I already have, but need a part number for the multi hole type that are apparently a better option. Cheers.

Might be worth posting if you have done any internal engine work, what EM you have, what IM and IC setup and what clutch you are running etc. etc.

There are plenty of options for this setup and it's been discussed and done by many people in quite a few different ways (I think there was a thread very recently in which turbo and injector options were discussed). I would suggest that you find an experienced I5 tuner who can map the car and take advice from them as to what components they would use, as there are plenty of injector and turbo options.

Projects to check out are Lloyd (RS2 hybrid / k26/27), Sonic (K26/27 X2), Ross (K26/27), dieseldes (2871R), any RS2 setup thread (less power but totally bolt-on and cheaper), can't think of any 3071 threads off the top of my head but there are some.

Done a lot of reading and not clear on the aspects I am asking about.
My spare block getting done at the moment, 82mm 9:1 JE pistons, Uprated rods, uprated bearings (want it to be bomb proof and outlast me ). Also be getting head ported and manifolds matched and using a Wagner exhaust manifold too.
Already narrowed turbo selection to the two mentioned, just after the final bits of info mentioned to help decide which one at this 'crossover' point between the two...

        Why 9:1 pistons?
Are you planning to run it on E85?

Your questions also don't make much sense. The amount of pressure needed to achieve something depend on turbine size, a/r and more in general on engine VE.
Engines are air pumps, they are all about flow. Pressure is only a measure of resistance and absolutely meaningless most of the time.

The only thing can be said, is that the GT30 turbine will flow more and more timing advance will be possible at the same flow level compared to a GT28 turbine.

To you as an end user all this information is pretty much useless anyway, it's only of interest when tuning.

Personally, I would go for a 3076R and 8.5:1 pistons. I don't see the point in anything smaller than that if you are going to go through all the trouble to fit a Garrett turbo.
It is possible to not map it balls out and easily have a 3500+ RPM power band, whereas the other smaller turbos will all be strained all the time and the car will have a very peaky behaviour.

Am only looking at 400bhp, but whats the max torque at this level with each GT turbo? And as a comparison what torque does my homefried 3B produce at present. Thanks
