I`ve got this squeaking-noise from the enginebay at my `93 Audi 80 1,9TDI 1Z.
Sounds a bit like bird-twittering...
The sound only appears when the engine is cold, but goes away when it is stars getting warm.
When I step on the gas the engine stop making the noise, but re-returns when i let go.
The sounds seems to be comming from the front of the engine, but it is`nt very easy to find out where it comes from!
De-attached the belt for the vanepump/waterpumpe and started the engine, and the noise was still there. This concludes that the noise is`nt comming from any of theese.
I spottet a kind of belt-tensioner for the dynamo-belt, but did`nt quiet get how to de-attach the belt?

This stopped me of taking of the dynamo-belt so i could`nt test if the noise came from here.
Can someone explain to me how this belt-tensioner work? Is it fluid-based (I think this because the noise disappear when the engine is getting warm)?
How do i loosen the belt, so i can take it of?
Anyone who have heard about a similar problem on the 1Z-engine?
What can the problem be?
