Oil in turbo intake - catch tank ?

    Hi!

I have now been driving with 2bar of boost for a while. After a full wot run I flooded saw alot of blue smoke.. removed the intake boot of the turbo and saw alot of oil and it´s coming from the ventilation on the valve cover.

So, were´s the best place of installing a oil catch tank ? I will use my stock breather hoses and valves and just want to install a catch some were between so get rid of excess oil.

    Any nice paint drawings ?

Could I connect it to the lower breather outlet on the back of the head ?

    Looked at this kit: http://www.034motorsport.com/engine-...6-p-18081.html
But what should I do with the stock breather hoses, remove or plug them ?

The 034 kit connects to both upper and lower output on the head, right ?

Were does the oil return line connect to ? Haven´t seen any flange fitting on my engine :s

Fit a swirl pot and relocate the head breather. Catch tank is optional but swirl pot solves the fundamental problem.

So, just a swirl pot between lower breather on valve cover and the big thing down on the block ??

Swirl pot takes feeds from both head and crank breathers and then returns any oil to the sump and the upper outlet goes to the inlet via a catch tank, if you want a secondary filter.

I have just intalled a catch tank to the breather outlet on the valve cover near the turbo that´s vented to air.. No more oil in ic piping

If it's vented to atmosphere then there won't be any oil getting in but the down side is that you may get funmes coming into the cabin...

It's also worth remembering that if you have oil in your catch tank, then it's not in your engine!

The stock breather runs out of talent quite quickly, so it's well worth investing some time and sorting it all out properly, especially if you have more than 350bhp or use it on track.
