    Volvo s60r timing

Does anybody have some timing information for 2005 s60r?
We removed timing belt, marks are clear visible.Need to change camshafts oil seals(belt side ones) and after removing the cap of vtc(volvo write on units, bmw called vanos) i could not hold the camshaft steady to remove inner bolt of variable unit.So took off cam cover( hoping that a key slot will be on camshaft) and found out that variable units have lot of play and they get of the lip of seal and that is why they leak.I got out camshafts and got them fixed and removed the variable units with pulleys. The problem is that units can get in any position on the camshafts and a procedure of fiting should be folwed...

    Thx
Do you know the prices for oils in gbox, transfer box, rear dif? Not to speak about new brake discs and pads...

And with the money car was could buy a perfect rs2,3s2,4s4

is there not a flat plate that goes in the end of the cams on these engines?

im sure ive done a belt before.

anyway, found these links for you
Special Tools: Crank Pulley Counterhold Tool (Volvo part #: 999543) (or make your own like I did....see pic below) First, remove the front right wheel and inner fender liner as best as you can. It is riveted on, so I just removed the two inner 10mm nuts and moved the liner out of the way as...

        and as i thaught \/ \/ \/
I bought the cam locking tool off ebay, the one that is in like a matco box. It only has the straight bar across each lock. The cam ends have a straight bar and a small etch to ensure the cam is not upside down. Does anyone have a picture of the Volvo cam locking tool so I can see if the...

          Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
          Edit:
If the vvt on exhaust has so much axial play that it gets out of the seal(almost, the seal is touching on the edge and almost off it) it should be worn,is it?

i didnt understand what you said

Volvo VVT pulleys are CRAP! i change lots of them, and once you have one off, put a new one on as its not worth the effort not to.

also little more drive ability with new one

oh and no chatter from pulley

Exhaust camshaft leaks not because of seal, because vvt has axial play ang gets out from seal.
Why they did all that things?I can not say engine feels better that an old audi i5.It was poluation rules that made them do all of that?Because power does not seem to be better distribuited

                power delivery is why

makes use of low end power then adjusted cam timing for higher rev range,

when tuning VVT (Ford ST170 engines for me) they get thrown in the bin lol

you should be able to use early T5 cams and pulleys, screw the VVT
