ABY Fan fitting on 3B

Will an ABY fan connector fit onto the 3B fan?

Or would the whole ABY fan be a straight fit onto the 3B?

no and no unfortunately. Easiest way is get an ABY fan and fan loom inc the resistor pack. You could do it with the 3B wiring loom by modding it a bit and fitting a bigger fuse, but TBH its not really man enough for the current draw of the 500w fan I don't think.

I agree.....sourcing the complete fan/horn harness from an ABY is the path of least resistance. I added a 500W fan to my B2 90q using a harness from a '90 200. Didn't take much to get it up and running, but if I was in Europe I would have just bought the harness.

I have got a good working fan mate but the electrical plug is a bit gnarled up

is it the contact housing on the fan itself or the contact housing on the loom you are after?

On the loom, a previous owner had rewired/extended it and done a bad job.

My mechanic disconnected it and said it needs to be replaced, now I have to have air con running constantly and my temps are 100+ when warm..
