So he (dmitri) says. But why? I am making 360 hp (at least) (289 whp) without these magic beans, er, resistors.

Yours is just mapped to last cell, like all the cool kids do. Well except me, I come up with all these useless things like bigger MAF's and what not to actually read airflow.
As for "completely happy". I can map a car on an almost completely dead MAF, with broken sensors and with half the range and it will seem "completely happy".
I can even map the boost control to 3 bar on a 2.5 bar sensor.

I just don't do any of these things because I take pride in my work.

      Long answer:
MAF signal goes via R200 and R201, which form a divider into a VFC (voltage to frequency converter).
With the AAN resistor the VFC input maxes out before the MAF does and the VFC pegs. This means the limited range of the MAF is further limited, but you get a bit higher resolution on the lower end.

Porsche changed the resistor to allow the ECU to read the full range of the MAF. In fact the resistor is precisely calculated, so that the MAF and the VFC max out at the exactly the same time.

Good job Porsche. Bad job lazy tuners who are too lazy to remove the back plate and change one resistor for a better tune.
Stock resistor is more than 6K. RS2 resistor is 5.6k. Higher resistance means less current flowing through it to GND and more current flowing towards the VFC, thus higher reading.

Thank you. However, I would never have called Mihnea Cotet "lazy".

Where are you getting your information? Do you have anything to back-up your claims?

I have personally run these injectors in my 95 S6 for 3 years without issue, no over-fueling or under-fueling issues like you claim, perfect AFR under boost with 27mpg highway with a 6-speed. There are a few local customers near 034 that have these injectors as well with no issues, perfect A/F ratios, great mpg, etc. There are no holes in the mapping either.

Over the last 7 years we've sold hundreds of these injectors to customers all over the world, most of which are using our Stage 1+ software or the RS2 software that we run. Those customers are all satisfied and their cars are running well, making plenty of power.

Because I've personally mapped quite a few sets of these and on each car each set was all over the place on a base RS2 map.
Sure, if you keep O2 correction on, the ECU will adapt to them, but saying they are a straight replacement for RS2 injectors, which have rather unique latency times among injectors of that era, is just wrong.

I don't really need to back up much of anything. You are selling a product.
Please provide flow charts and dead times for that product. And I will provide you flow charts and dead times for RS2 injectors.

You will see they don't match. More than that, RS2 injectors are actually very linear, the corvette injectors you sell are not even close to that level.

Not really interested in starting some war over some baby power injectors either.

Nothing to debate. Anyone with a sane mind knows that Porsche spec injectors are far superior to Corvette

Yes, these are obviously not the exact same injector, they are a close match that has proven to be an acceptable replacement for a very difficult to source, and expensive, part. All of our tunes are tuned using this injector, as it is a modern, available alternative to the OE RS2 units. We appreciate your insight, and if there is anything else we can address or help with please let us know.

"Acceptable" is an opinionated word. Perhaps I desire a higher level of perfection than you, so for me it is not acceptable when lambda feedback is required for them to hold a semi-straight fueling curve.

I would also say that a dead time, which differs by 50% and non-linearity, which differs even more than that is not a "close match".

The only thing that is anywhere close is the static flow rate. But there is a lot more to tuning, than static flow rate of injectors. A whole lot more.
Not that you guys adjust any of that in your tunes, at least the files I have seen

Haha, I was actually not being serious, thus the smiley at the end.
But in this case there is really nothing to discuss. RS2 injectors have amazing characteristics even by modern standards.

so, we have decided to continue with the rs2 project...
1st step will be to fix that turbo...
so, heres my question 4 u guys...
Is it possible to replace the impeller of the rs2 turbo with the one from stock turbo?

Although Igor and I would prefer 2 put a billet wheel...
What are the benefits of having one? Where to find one? How much does it cost? Do I need a custom remap or it works with the stock RS2 ECU?
                              Thanx 4 the answers

Of course not. Even if it fits, what's the point? It will be like a stock turbo but with huge lag.
