RS2 Fuel pump: what else compatible?

    Ahoy there

By process of elimination in solving a boost cutting issue on my RS2, my mate suggested the fuel pump as it seems to be droning out of the ordinary.

What fuel pumps are compatible and is this a possible culprit for a boost cut at 3500rpm?
next in line are the cats.. will give you guys feedback as we make progress.

    thanks in advance.

make sure the timing belt is out one tooth to the left. When I bought mine I had exactly the same symptom, and that was the belt

        As simple as that?

My car is in Faheemo's garage (owner of the most monstrous S2 this side of Europe).
I know for a fact he went through that and set it a tooth left!
Please give me all the possibilities you can think of as you have owned your RS2 long enough

Oh.. AND because i have pictures of YOUR car in my garage

          Pull the codes first.
Then you will know if the problem is mechanical or electronical.

Like Prj says, try by running it though vagcom first. It will show up something if it's cutting out like that, and I'm sure the answer will follow here soon then

Oh and please take pictures of your garage then, so cool, must see that!

My garage is not in a very presentable state at the moment.. however, these few pics are enough to show your car on my wall!

The 60 mm diameter Bosch pumps, i.e. the 005, 040 and the 044, will all fit *in* the RS2 fuel tank if you use the 60 mm V8 two-piece pump basket.
