    Why would you do this?

In the ECU boost is mapped based on RPM and throttle position. If you want less boost, just press the throttle less.

Just a question as to whether it's possible or whether the ECU expecting a certain boost for a given situation means that Motronic isn't capable of dealing with it.

yes,but sometimes is not very confortable do this...you need to have a very precise right foot and if you are for example overtaking....

I will just say that shooting yourself in the foot is also possible, but that does not make it a good idea
Switchable settings for boost levels can be easily done in the ECU as well.

Both as an on-off switch as well as with a potentiometer to continuously adjust... etc.

Good to know that switchable boost is possible, that could be useful as a 'girl mode'. I remember Paul had a switchable map setup a while back but being able to specify boost sounds interesting.

Buy an ostrich emulator, latch adapter and specify boost all day on your laptop

This is more or less what people with standalone ecu usually does

On the stock internals upto 600nm is about the safe limit on stock rods. If you have a 3B engine you will need to fit a metal multi layer gasket from ABY/ADU if you go for upgrades.

i setup the ebbost 2 on my stock s2 many moons ago. i limited the boost to 15 psi on the controller and dropping back to redline. perfomance much better than stock chip boost tbh. as prj says be careful and really you must run the ebc in conjunction with the correct map settings forthe best of both worlds.

boost controller are a bit marmite tbh
