DIY Turbo Rebuild, yes or no?

While the turbo is off the car and I am sorting everything out I have thought about doing a turbo rebuild. I have read about DIY rebuilds and it looks fairly simple, I am just worried about balancing but if I am only replacing seals and bearings is this going to be a problem. If this a big no no and should I just leave it until it dies?

once you remove compressor wheel, then balancing is a must.and you need to do so before getting to the bearings

ive recently had the K04's rebuilt on my RS4, they only had new new bearings and seals too.
The company said they wouldnt do the work without balancing them as it would be pointless.
They did an excellent job and were not that expensive either.
      Well worth a look http://www.theturbounit.co.uk/
Mention that dest recommended you and they might do you a deal
