Anyone know the OE part number for the lower temp after-run pump switch. I have read it is from an LT van and also a Golf II / Corrado, but got no part number.
1990 90q20v (p/n 034 919 369 A) for $25 which measures underhood temperature (not coolant temp) and is set to turn on at 85 celcius and off at 80 celcius

Yes as someone suggested it before and they are not the same
You missed the sarcasm (sorry). My point is/was there is an alternative method of triggering the after-run pump using that air-temp sensor from an Audi 90 7A, mounted as Sean D. (quattro20V on the NAmerican forums) did.
Yes, it is an air-temp, not water temp, sensor but it does bring the after-run system on more often than the OE 110/97 water temp switch.

I installed the 7A sensor into my water manifold and while using the Vagcom recorded the switch activated the pump and fan at 95.8c. It shut down approximately 3 mins later at a temporary of 81.5c.
