    I5 Turbo Options Discussion Thread

Following on from Error404's request -

This thread is for discussion of the facts and figures to be put in the I5 Turbo Options sticky thread (to be created).

The aim of that thread is to detail the turbo options available for the I5 engine and to act as a resource to help both newcomers to the world of S2/4/6 RS2s and those who want to go to the next level more clearly understand what options there are.

I will start with a suggested format for detailing the information:-

    Manufacturer:-
    Name:-
OE fitment:- Details if the turbo is used on any car, Audi or otherwise.
Category:- stock / small / mid / large
Availability:- rare / occasional / common / new

Power band (2.2l):- approxmate power band from stock engine to nearest 20bhp?
Power band (stroker):- approximate power band from bored / stroked engine (show capacity).

Direct fit:- turbo modifications required (not engine)
    Exhaust flange:-

Users:- Names of any projects using this turbo.
Links:- Links to projects, discussion threads or manufacturer pages.

There will be further information that's goinf to be useful, please suggest anything that may help.

I will transfer the information from this thread to a closed sticky thread and leave them linked, such that the information contained within the thread isn't lost.

A brief explanation of turbo terminology, nomenclature, A/R ratio etc. might also help, as well explanations of why different turbos are or aren't suited to use on the I5 applicaiton. Be great to take contributions on this.

I'm interested in 3 turbos that I am hoping will appear on here shortly, RS2 K24/7200, GT2871 and GT3071. Still cannot make my mind up what turbo to go with for my 380 goal
