Are the hot side housings interchangeable between K24 and K26?
KKK hot side housings

I *suspect* the hot side housings are, but i think special internals are needed for an appropriate combination of turbine wheel, shaft, centre bearing and compressor wheel.
Need a KKK turbo guru to get a concrete answer to that. It would interest me actually as I posted a while back about a hunch that a K24 hotside and RS2 coldside might be a nice hybrid that produces max boost at 2500rpm and can run to 300bhp with decent efficiency such that an RS2 intercooler would be ample for good IAT...

Thanks.
AFAIK the one you're talking about has already been made by MTM. AKA 'small hybrid'.
My question is about finding a hot side that could be used with 52mm turbine volvo you know what. Older audi k26s with 50mm turbine wheel should have suitable hot housing to work on with. IF it fits the k24 center.-Comment

AFAIK the MTM (or is it Nothelle? one of the two i get confused now and again) uses a smaller hotside than the standard RS2 and small K26 compressor.Originally posted by porkkisThanks.

Where as the RS2 is a K24 cold side with K26 trim wheel machined into it with K26 hotside.
It's why the RS2 has such a violent boost.
What Paul is talking about is the same configuration RS2 except with a K24 trim wheel instead of the K26 one machined into it.
I was messing around and thought it would be a good spec as well.Comment
