Which gauge are you actually talking about - the one that says 80-something is the oil temp gauge. If you're cruising on normal roads or pottering around in traffic, 80-90 is a fairly normal oil temperature: in my experience it's only when you start thraping the car for a reasonable period thatyou'll see oil temps increase to >100. If oil temps start exceeding 140, give the engine a breather!

Your oil pressure gauge should probably sit at about 1.7-2.0 bar when idling when warm. If you're using Synta gold all the time it'll probably be at the low end of this range: if you change to using a thicker oil like Castrol RS 10/60, or the Millers Competiton 10/60, you'll see an increase in idle pressure to around the 2.0 mark.

        oil temp,

thanks for that ,soz about gauge confusion,

sound to me like ,it`s fine, i find that the pressure gauge is giving good
readings also , the pressure gauge at hot idle sits at a steady 2.bar,
and when driving/ mostly sits at 5bar motorway drivin so a think all`s well

cheer`s for help in clearing this matter up..
