3B coupe engine stutter...

Hope that someone can advise me on what the problem maybe...

Recently the engine has been feeling strangled and stutters up to about 3000rpm (until turbo cuts in properly) and then smooths out. As a service was nearly due I put it down to needing a new filter and plugs etc. Unfortunately, it seems to have made no difference - if anything it's slightly worse. I've also noticed that it doesn't idle very evenly and a few revs are needed to stop it bogging down when pulling away.

Any ideas anyone? There's no specialists near me so I will have to resort to the main stealer if no-one can help.

Do you notice that your car has high consumption, the car cuts, or it misfire ???
when your are driving around do you feel the same way, or justin WOT ???
do you have a boost gauge ? If yes what do you see ???

Fuel consumption is a tad high - I had put that down to my heavy right foot. It doesn't cutout or misfire - just feels as though it's being starved of fuel when it needs it - this happens all the time. I don't have a boost gauge.

I live in a village called Snape in Suffolk right on the East coast. I used to go to Kim at QST but he's really too far to take a car that probably won't make it!

My car went like that just after I got it, kept surging below 3000 revs and fuel consumption was bad (worse than usual!!) I took it to Audi and they changed lots of parts, but didnt fix the problem . Then I took it to Kim and if I remember rightly it was just the turbo switch, a few quid later it was a different car and a joy to drive . Could be completly different but it worked for me.
