    Valve seats on AAN

    Good evening fellow gents.

Im in abit of a predicament with no clear solution in the backwardsness of South Africa.

Im looking for valve seats in the intake side of my AAN head, as due to bad worksmanship has resulted in unusable valve seats on my intake seats.

After the reseat job the 2 intake valve seats on cyl 1 fell out. And I dont trust to the rest to stay in their position when I get it all back together.

    What are my options here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start with some good old ash kicking (directed at the machine shop).

Then either oversized seats or a new head. (sorry)

Being South Africa, it can get very VERY politically incorrect... and not a road worth going down.

I'll try oversize seats first, and then/otherwise complete 7a motor. AAN is too expensive here.

Sorry forgot to ask, does anyone have technical drawings or such that I can supply a precision engineering shop, material, or is it something I can buy?

Also, some dealerships here have to check 3 or 4 times to know what an AAN is.

I meant "ash kicking" in a figurative sense, not literal, as in make the machine shop pay for their failure(s).

As for technical drawings, the closest you will get will be something like this:

When you are talking to the dealers, tell them to look under A10Q and the year and then AAN.

            UrS4boy thank you very much.
They wont pay. Slagging them is about all I can do. This country is seriously wacked when it comes to consumer protection. Its easier to just let it go.

              Ouch.

When you are in a dealership, looking for help, you might want to have the attached handy to show them that you are not crazy:
