Coils

What is the general thinking on here ref coils, stick to Oem or convert to 18T/Rs4 coils or are there other alternatives

If you want OEM you can source the Beru coils for ~€120 each, maybe less these days. I was always wary of the later 1.8t coil packs from a reliability point of view but i think Prj has a solution to that by modifying the dwell times in his maps. I just dont trust them, original coilpacks last 120k miles so thats the route i went.
