Evening all
To any that have read my recent project thread or any of my troubleshooting shouts you know that I have diognosed my starting problem.
My main injectiuon ECU that sits up underneathe the heater matrix had fried and blown a diode. Iv'e been told catigorically that this is the problem and that the unit itself is behond economical repair. So I am on the hunt for a new ECU that works
My question is :
Iv'e seen a couple on Ebay that say they are for the 5 cyl NG, and they look like identical units. However, upon cross referencing the part numbers there are 2 differences.
My part number is : 443 906 264 CA and the bosh part number is : 0 280 800 456/457
Other ECU's part number: 443 906 264 C(with no A) ... and the bosh part number 0 280 800 252.
Hoever iv'e just found something interesting. There are 2 ECU's on ebay that iv'e found.
1 of them is being listed as coming from an Audi 80 1.8 ..( 4 cyl obviously )
and the otehr is listen as a 1992 Audi coupe 2.3 E 5 speed ...
THEY BOTH HAVE MATCHING PART NUMBERS ???
This is making no sense to me at all ...
question is ... Does it make a difference whether the bosh part numbers are the same ? and ... What is the difference between my ECU that has a "A" on the end of the part number and an ECU that has an identical part number with no "A" on the end ??
If anyone can shed any light i would greatly appreciate it
As once iv'e sourced this part i can get the car on the road !
Thanks
Sa
