    Timing marks

Ok, covered many times I guess, but, when the mark in the window on the flywheel (ABY) just goes out of sight under the reference edge - how close is the dot on the cam pulley to the 'V' on the cover? I'm half a tooth out with the belt tensioned.

Also how far out does the timing need to be to cause a collision?

And at what point does the camshaft timing being out affect compression? by that I mean enough to sound wrong.

I've not even got access to my own ABY engined car to check my own timing marks.
