Parts are here and the car is off to the mechanic on Monday. Im told it will be off the road for about a week. While the head is off Ill get the turbo rebuilt as well.

Oh, and a mate is loaning me one of his cars. It was going to be his 997 GT3 CS but now it will be his RS2

Well the car is back on the road! Head and Turbo rebuilt. The turbo was in pretty good nick, the valve guides were meant to be quite worn. No smoke now! Yes!

Though I have a problem . . . And the car is going back on Friday, but I wanted some feed back from the experts (thats you guys)
The car isnt coming on boost as hard, and its coming on boost about 1000 RPM later, before the car went in to get the work done on it boost would kick in around 3600 RPM, now its 4500 RPMish. Also I feel that Im pressing the throttle down a little bit more which doing a constant speed. Could this be timing? It doesnt seem to idle like it has a boost leak.

could be timing yes, needs to be one tooth out to the left.
And ofcourse make sure you haven't got a boost leak in the first place.

Someone will link to the correct place, but as I understand it the factory timing marks do not give the correct / desired result on an an ADU RS2 engine, but wait for someone more knowledgable than me to affirm.

            HTH a bit.
