    Does RS2 has a overboost protection ?

Anyone knows if it has a overboost protection, like our S2 ???

I`m thinking in connect my fuel pump directly in the ignition, I`m going to use 2 fuel pumps when running ethanol. Can´t stand that cut out anymore. Is there any problem in doing this ?

Yes - factory RS2 ECU has overboost protection and limp-home modes.

If the car is cutting out, then the ECU must be very unhappy about something. Usually means a faulty MAF or significant air leak. Could also be a faulty MAP sensor inside ECU.

        Paul,

As far as I know the MAP sensor don´t cut fuel, only MAF do that .. true or false ?
MAP only drop pressure (i don´t know if its by opening the wg or injectin more fuel and drops ignition timing)
I already changed the MAF, by a RS2 MAF. I got real better, but not solved, may car only cuts in high gears near 1.5 bar. ( I still running on my 250 KPA map sensor) Sometimes the pressure drops, because it try to pass 1.5 bar. and then come back, this week i ´ll bring it down in a new chip set.

I don't know why you keep on asking the same questions dude... yes, there are failsafe modes in the RS2 ECU, and no, it's not safe to hardwire your fuel pump.

Just imagine you have an accident, and the fuel pump doesn't stop running although the engine is stopped, fuel is going to come out through the weakest spot and you're gonna catch fire, together with the car.

The factory has installed a very clever fuel-pump shut-off mode in case of a huge impact on the car, if you hardwire the fuel pump, you'll be bypassing this, and your insurance company should be made aware of this change...

IMHO you can't run a car anywhere in europe with such tricks...

            Dude,

As you can read, I`m not asking the same, I`m trying to solve this sh*t. I have already changed the MAF since the day we talked, I`m really thankful for your help. But my problems are not solved, so if you don´t mind I`m trying to find where my problem is.
Paul said, that it can be caused by the MAP, and you told me that this kind of problems are MAF cut. See how confused it can get ???

              ooops, sorry...

The MAP sensor definitely doesn't cause any fuel-pump shut-off effects, only a cut in N75 duty cycle to drop boost.

              HTH,
