a question or two about ISVs.

not that i have an idle problem but i have a question about my 3b .s isv. should it buzz? I
on my old mk2 digi golf when i switch on ignition the isv buzzes.
however on the s2 it doesn't. should it?

also my brothers coupe with ace engine does idle odd at times. he had a new isv a while back. his doesn't buzz with ignition either. should that one?

it shouldnt buzz no,sounds like the solanoid is pulsing(which it shouldnt)

sweet neither cars isv buzz. it certainly does on a mk2 golf which is what i compared it to. i have read about the light bulb test on cranking and testing resistance across the terminals.
you've answered the question if it isn't supposed to buzz on ignition then all is well. Ta
