Is the other scale on your Turbo Boost Gauge for Vacuum?

As a matter of interest, what sort of Vac Reading are you getting at idle?

I used to see 2.2 bar on the digital display at WOT in 5th/6th gears.. Since having my Mihnea chipset, I get 2.4 bar..

The Digital boost gauge is really poor though, I installed an Omori boost gauge in the centre console:



It's much better.

Thanks for all the info guys. I've never had it WOT in 5th or 6th yet, it's all B roads round here. I'll go down the M74 tomorrow and give it some welly "just checking my boost officer", I certainly don't want to be labelled a "light foot" I'll report my findings, in the interests if scince of course.

I think I'll also rig up a boost gauge for a more accurate reading.

24 pin sockets ring a bell, I think I saw that on UNICOM's site, is that right?

OK,OK I give in, I'm a "light foot", but I can change, honest I can change.
I've had it about 5 weeks and was down a cylinder when hot due to POS (ignition module) fault. Has been healthy now for a couple of weeks but it's only been on the backroads and to and from work. I know, excuses, excuses!

They are 0.6" 28 pin DIL sockets - but if you fook the chips doing this the the car will be undriveable - leave it till you come over for Mihneas Chips.

I'll leave the sockets 'till Friday, I'll have a boost gauge of some sort fitted by then anyway, should be more accurate/responsive than the digital one in the dash.
I'll leave here about 9am to let rush hour die down, should be at yours around 10-10.30 depending on traffic. I'll fill up with Optimax on the way out.
