what would the best housing be for lets say 500+ hp. Obviously it got more chance with a .84 but when will it give max spool , i like the .63 housing due to quicker spool
but how much top end power would i lose .
On each housing when would you get full spool at what rev, cheers for any advice
Not worth it the 0.82ar if you are after spool. The few extra up you get on a non ported head is making the lag too much. I'd stick with the 0.63ar and port the had if you haven't done so

Sounds like a .63, then pap, did u put ur .63 in urs if so what's the difference cheers
Should not have surge problems with the gt 3076 the 3071 yes
There will be surge. Depending on the VE of the engine, more or less.
But on standard cams 0.63 A/R on a 3076R is surge-o-rama. All the gain by the 0.63 A/R housing is pretty much negated by the fact that you have to limit the boost.
I don't see any point in a 0.63 A/R on this turbo either.
With 0.82 A/R you will hit full boost at 4100-4200 rpm, and this is exactly what you need to hit all the gears. In 1st gear you can rev to 7300 rpm and then swap to 2nd, and you will not have any boost lag.
In fact I don't see any gain on a GT30R and 0.63 A/R housing due to the way these cars are geared. In real life the 0.82 A/R driver will be faster all the time if he knows how to shift the gears right.
If you want reliable 500hp without the EGT's shooting through the roof, it's a pretty good idea to use the 0.82 A/R housing.
With the 0.63 A/R, you can get 500+ on a dyno, but by the end of 5th gear you will have very high EGT if you run this much boost all the time in real life...
