    Mach dir keine Sorgen. Mein Deutsch ist wahrscheinlich noch schlimmer.

    I am not recommending that turbo overhauls be done by amateurs but I do wonder why, if all you were doing is replacing the seals and journal bearings, why would any rebalancing of the shaft and wheels be needed?

      no that must be an incorrect measurement!
      maybe he has measured the inner bearing.

        Every core assembly made by BWTS is high balanced.
        If you dismantle and reassemble this yourself, have to re balance, because you can`t put it 100% exact together like it was -> you have imbalance
        The rotor speed is up to 150.000 and the force due the imbalance will raise ².

          Done. BorgWarner purchased KKK in 1997. I added a link to BorgWarner Turbo Systems history.

          The original S2, UrS4/S6 and RS2 turbos were made by KKK. Anything made now as a replacement (or maybe rebuilt) would be BorgWarner Turbo Systems.

            Great info, so is a rebuilt RS2 (5324 988 7200) as good or as reliable as an original 7200? Just wondering.
            Also what difference would a ported head and Wagner exhaust manifold do to the RS2 lag, spool and power etc. Thanks

              You are wasting money on that fancy manifold if you are only running a RS2 turbo.
              It is a great manifold, but there is going to be no noticeable difference with a tiny turbo.

              Head porting will make more difference, as the torque will be flatter and the car will be better to drive.

              But again, if you are investing that much money, put a proper turbo on there, not a tiny one.
              Else there's very little return on investment...

              This is really getting off topic though.

              As for a manufacturer re-build turbo - it will be as good as new.

                Here are some dimensions of the RS2 compressor wheel:

                A = 66.00mm
                B = 47.40mm
                C = 4.5mm
                The centre bore is 7mm on my wheel.
                The design is of the superback rather than flatback compressor wheel which the normal K26 had. This accounts for the different sealplate and thrust assembly on the 7200.
                The compressor wheel designation of 2672 is expressed as the diameter in inches and the diameter of the inducer as a percentage of the diameter:

                Diameter (A) = 66.00mm = 2.6"
                Inducer (B) = 47.40mm = 1.87" (72% of diameter).
                (Figures rounded up)
