Evening all,so I have a couple of questions..
firstly have I timed this engine up correctly?

check out the marks on the 7a flywheel, there is the single line then an 'O',if you imagine looking through the gearbox inspection hole it would surely be the 'O' you would see,not the usual line.
Second question,I removed the cambelt the other day, then removed the clutch after, with the clutch I ended up undoing it and in turn turned the flywheel around.
Today I completely forgot about this and proceeded to do the cambelt up,I lined up the cam pulley as in the first picture as it was from when I removed it.As I had forgotten I had moved the flywheel (and in turn the crank pulley etc) I assumed it was in the same position etc...
Cutting this long, boring story short I turned the engine by hand one complete revolution,it seemed normal, you could hear the hiss from the pistons moving etc,I felt no unusual resistance...OH FEK I thought as I checked the bottom pulley notch!
the bottom pulley was almost a qurter of a turn out.
I immediatly undid the tensioner and the belt and using a large spanner rotated the cam around to the timing mark (after lining up the botttom pulley) and reattched the belt and retensioned up.I then by hand turned the engine over 3 complete revolutions and again seemed fine.
So would I have done any damage? If the valves and pistons collided wouldn't the engine be solid and unable to turn over?
