That's a little 'thin' IMO, especially for a tuned engine.

10w 40 and 5w 40 are the same viscosity when hot,
the 5 in the 5w 40 dictates it will have a lower viscosity
(thinner) when cold, an advantage over 10w 40.
many people think the 5 in 5w 40 or means it is thinner
oil this is a common misconception.

I use 10 40 as that is what i have always used and has always been ok on my engine. Remember Andy, yours is still and ABY engine but with a few additionos so if it worked before why not trust it to do the same as it used to? Fair play for trying something new though.

I have BMW 5W30 oil in my S2 3B at this moment, with homefried chips. It's OK. Especially since the weather outside is getting colder.
                    The oil pressure is OK.

I use w50 to protect the turbo under hard use. It's all about film thickness vs. temperate
