    Evap Solenoid

I have lost my evap solenoid after doing the top end engine rebuild and was wondering if I can trick it with a resistor as I no longer have the carbon canister. It is throwing a fault and I want to eliminate it from the current issues I am having.

If anyone is interested I cleared the code by installing a 2watt 1k resistor in place of the solenoid

The specification for that part is actually 40-50 ohms!
I am unsure whether thats a good idea or not. I can understand subsituting a fixed value for a sensor but not sure about a solenoid. Not worth goosing an ecu for 39p!
Just checked the value on one and it was 45 ohms!

It does not throw a code to say that it is short or open, so it must be within its aloud limits. I was going off another bosch solenoid but I have a 7w 47ohm resistor which will do the trick.
