    injectors s2 rs2

I am looking for a set (5pieces) of injectors for my S2 3b. I am not sure If I can also use the ones from an aby / AAN / ADU engine.

The car is standard at the moment, in the future it will be tuned to RS2 specs. So maybe it is wise to buy RS2 injectors if a standard car runs well on these injectors.

    thanks,

Anything other than 3B spec injectors will need remapping of ECU to keep the fuel correct.

3B injectors have a single hole.

AAN & ABY have four-holes for improved spray pattern. The rating (cc per minute) is different than 3B and ABY injectors.

ADU injectors also have 4-holes but deliver higher volume than AAN/ABY ones.

Go for ADU/RS2 ones if you have plans for RS2 mods in the future...

Physically all three varieties are mechanically and electrically compatible despite the differences with fuel rail and Motronic systems.

      Thanks paul for you wisdom

But for the moment I just want to replace them, I think one or more are leaking. The car really start hard after a cooling down period of 2 hours.

Before it will be tuned I want to make some adjustments to the brakes and suspension.

Your best bet is to post a 'WANTED' request. Some 3B owners in UK have recently upgraded to RS2 spec and beyond, so there must be some stock of these old injectors going spare.

Yep, but they are rs2 ones. Paul just told me that I have to reprogram the ECU. The car will be tuned, but on a later stage.

                thanks,

I bet ABY injectors work nicely on a 3B as the flow is about the same at 3 bar. 3B injectors 303cc/min and ABY 301cc/min. Usually the ABY ones are used at a higher pressure and that's why "ABY has larger injectors". That tiny flow difference is easily adapter by the ECU as much greater differences appear just because of the age.

(My 3B injectors were measured about 270cc before ultra sound cleaning and about 310 after!)

I would guess that you might buy RS injectors and an adjustable FPR and lower the fuel pressure until you go for the mods. I don't bet on this as it's unknown how much the pressure would be required to drop to get around 303cc flow at atmospheric (IM) pressure and the adjustment should be done using a A/F meter to get it right and check the lambda adjustment of the ECU. Too low pressure would probably give bad injection and that wouldn't be too nice.

                      Thanks Spink,

If I can just plug the aby injectos in my 3b and dont have to change the fuel pressure I am interested.

I hope someone can tell me this.

                      kind regards,
