Saunders motor works

Evening Chaps,

Has anyone ever had any dealings with Saunders motor works. I'm looking for a local company (Southampton ish) for boring the il5 block for the quattro and also crack testing and dynamic balancing. They seemed confident on the phone but it's always nice to hear from someone that's had dealings with them.

I contacted Swindon Engines but they farm out all there machining to an engineering company up there.

Any info is appreciated

Take it to Bassett down or Swindon racing. They have done a lot of IL5's

Hi Seadub75, I rebuilt my Land Rover 200Tdi Engine, and had them re-bore and skim the head. I was very impressed and happy with their work. Can reccommend them! Rob
