Coil Pack Trigger Question

Hi guys,

I am intending to build a new engine for my S2 and will be upgrading from 3B to ADY/ADU.

To break the job up a little if I take the 3B loom out and fit the ABY loom and ECU.

And as a temporary measure fit the ABY cam cover and coil packs to the old 3B engine

Can I simulate the ABY cam position sensor by wiring it to the 3B distributor haul sender?

I can't think of anything else that could stop me.

It just makes the job a 2 stage thing rather than all in one hit again!

Yes from what i've heard its fine just running it off the dizzy, i'm sure there was a couple of members on here who have done just that till they could get a bracket welded on the front of the head.
