I guess one is crank counter hold tool what's the other mate. Id be interested in a purchase. I love buying tools. I think it makes me weird but everyone has a vice.
If its the crank locking tool I think it was Andy10v who made one up out of 2" box section. I made one and if you have a welder and an angle grinder its simple

I would not recommend locking the flywheel, a friend of mine did that and snapped two teeth of the ring gear !
Last time I removed the front pulley bolt it took over well over 600 ft/lbs to free it.
Me weighing 200 lbs with a 3 foot bar bouncing on it !
It is also going to put undue stress on the crank, applying a twisting force of 600+ ft/lbs to the front of the crank is not good for it.
I know these cranks are strong but even if an S2 engine tuned is making 600 ft/lbs of torque it is not making this from one singular force per revolution, the force from any given journal would only be 240 ft/lbs.
And yeah notched 2" box is an easy DIY tool, (or just a pipe wrench ala Will)
Despite what the factory documentation says the Vag 3256 does not work on the ABY!
Basically the Vag 2084 does the 3B and others including 10V and the Vag 3256 does the AAN and the 2.5 TDi.
Forum members have modified both the the 2084 and the 3256 to work with the ABY which sort of proves what I said before. If the 3256 was the official tool then why doesn't it fit! At first members thought it was only A/C models were the problem but I believe the ABY pulley is the same whether you have A/C or not.
That is why must people have devised alternate ways to lock the crank.
