I am 12 bolts plus one 15mm turbo nut away from getting my ABY head off, but the last owner glued the cam cover down with sealant. Any tried and tested way to remove the cover under these circumstances?
Stanley knife
I got caught out previously where I hadn't removed the 2 receivers for the coil cover screws
I have a spanner for "that" nut if you want it
I think i remember something like this happening me before on a C20XE.
If i remember i very carefully got a paint scraper or wide chisel in one corner and carefully wedged it up slighty, then fed more of them around the edge.
Its a matter of removing the suction on it.
i wasnt worried about damaging the gasket as i was replacing it.

The sealant was still holding quite well, a little external force and pop.
