engine build outline details needed

as my pipe dream has started to take shape i need to look at where the power will come from

just a quick apology to prj and urs4boy for stunting there discussion last time but didn't want the thread to deviate to far from updates on the build.

so any help from you guys here will be freakin awesome

so 600hp aim around 5750rpm to 6800rpm

2.5 dag dag stroker

garret gt 35 or 40

possibly a holset if can pull one from a lorry breaker and rebuild or evan a boat yard as used on perkins and volvo penta engines i think.

dta ecu as my friend used these on his 8v corado turbo and has a good grasp of software

my issue is the finer points. i would like to complete as much of this work as possible.

Due to leaving my job at a garage after only a year to move into sales i have been branded an office boy by my mates. I could realy do with proving a point.

so i shall be looking to find what cam set up to use as really do not want to incur the costs of high rpm 7200 is fine with an uprated dsy box. I am hoping by keeping stockish limit i could use 7a/nm of a selection of.

also what crank and block would be best for this

i currently have a chipped 3b if any parts not if any parts other than the head would be usable with build

there have been quite a few references to rod length and piston profiles so when i have had the time to read through i will question this then.

also what crank and block would be best for this stock block/crank will be fine, just uprate the rods, get a compression dropping headgasget made, port/polish on the head and new shells

i currently have a chipped 3b if any parts not if any parts other than the head would be usable with build you can use the 3b loom/ecu but better to switch to either aby/aan with the ecu setup or do a pin swap to get coil on plug

You don't need to do much to these engines to get big hp. But anything extra you do will help towards reliability. Always good to listen to people on the forum who have been there like prj with the one's he's mapped.
