    ABY waterpump

I changed the timing belt, waterpump and tensioner on my S2 coupe a couple of years back. I'm experiencing an unusual bearing noise coming from the front of the engine. After removing the alt. belt and PAS belt it appears the noise is coming from the waterpump.

The waterpump I used last time was a GSF part, however it was slightly different to the original. The new pump had a convex shape at the end of the pulley, which actually interfeared with timing belt cover.

What I'm after is the correct part number for the 'flat faced' water pump I require (ABY). I've been looking at the QH items on ebay, I'm just unsure which one to order.

    Regards

    Tom

The correct ABY and AAN (and AAR) water pump is 054121004AX (where "X" these days = rebuilt).

Odd. I was £53.92 with a £30 surcharge for a water pump for my 3B from Audi a couple of months ago.

Odd as I have just done all that on my avant and didnt have to pay a surcharge or take my old unit back.... I think anyway. Or if I was supposed to then I havent and have lost the surcharge by now lol. Got a mate at a parts supplier to get the bits for me.... Didnt cost that much either for all the stuff

I.ve got one you can have for postage costs if you want it only done a few thousand miles on my engine then I killed my engine so stripped it down sold of the bits, reckon a fiver should cover postage let me know if you want it.
