The cover is off and next I should get the other board out but the clips inside the connector are very tight and twisting 'em doesn't help a bit

First you have to unplug the two plastic "white" pins on the back of the ECU + the one in the middle (that hold the two boards togeter).
            Then:

looking at the ECU from front (connector plug), slide two screwdrivers (open type, dunno theyr english name, anyway not the "cross" tipe) in the slot on top of the connettor between the upper row of pins and the connector housing itself.
Point of insertion should be near the end sides.
Then twist gently both the screwdrivers so that the upper row of pins goes towards the bottom one. You should then hear a "click" on both sides of the connector meaning the top board pin row got disengaged. While doing so push gently upper pin row inward. This should free it from the connector housing.
Then slide upper board out of the connector housing.

            That's it.

Hope my explenation was clear enaugh.

mihnea gave me a good link showing how its done but it doesnt work anymore...damn as marco says push the 2 tabs at each end of the row of pins towards each other, then using a small screwdriver between the top board and the case gently pull the board out.
              hard to explain but HTH

Thanks for the advice. Now it's open. All genuine as far as I now about what original should look like. Other chip has a bosch-p/n sticker on it and the map is a 200kPa one.

Sounds pretty stock to me. 3B does have only 2bar MAP
Mine went STB(straight to bin) and now there is a nice 3bar one!! Wind up the boost. My chips even have my name on them
