    Jb weld on fuel tank

Anyone tried this on a fuel tank?
S4 has a petrol vapour smell but no apparent leakage-had a good look at all pipes, no petrol under car etc

But, slight(1mm ish) gap on part of seam, I m thinking enough for vapour but not fluid
Read a number I posts about using jb weld(mainly motorbike tanks) with successful sounding results so wondering if it will do
No smell of fuel inside car so I don't think it's sender /pump cover

its most likely leaking close to the prop on the passenger side, ive lost count of the ones that go there.my own s6 included.i dolloped a few lairs of chem metal over it and it lasted 2 years until i found a near mint tank.its a straight forward job to change aslong as its on a lift, ballache doing it on axle stands

Metal tanks on the Quattro c4s

        Plastic on the 2wd model.

I had this problem on my c4 Quattro next to prop shift passenger side. Common place for them to go.

I think they are now NLA though, about 2009 I think unless they have started doing them again??(not that I would spend £650 on a tank anyway lol)

If the area is scored a little and the mixture made properly, this will definitely do what you need it to. Use it for golf club re-shafting and nothing beats it. Still have remains of some that was spilled on my work surface a few years back. Lots of chisel work to remove it ha ha.
