    oil pressure gauge issues

My rad split today so I took it out. My oil pressure gauge is always showing 5 bar. If i disconnect the wires it still shows 5 bar. I see a single wire sender and a double wire sender(photo) can anyone tell me if this wiring is right? It should be as it has a cap on the single wire. Before I put my rad back in I would hope to get this gauge working again. Any help appreciated...Ta!

    No photo.

A constant oil pressure gauge reading of 5 Bar is the tell-tale sign that the gauge sender is FUBAR'd. Here is some oil pressure gauge info to read:

Ha! Hadnt quite got the photo on! It's on now!
2 senders, one conduit with 3 wires, one goes to a single sender one goes to a double. I will have a look at the link, thanks!

Anyone got a spare analogue sender , am I right in thinking I should be able to get it to drop if I short the 2 wires?

There is so much rust and corrosion on your engine and accessories, e.g. the after-run pump is not looking happy, I suspect the sender might still be good but the connections are corroded, etc. I would start by removing the sender with the two wires and cleaning everything up, including the mating surface on the block and the two male and female spade connections.

It is a bit horrible in there, my rad has been weeping for a while.
Does anyone know what resisance readings I hould be getting off the double pole sender if I put a multimeter across it during running or engine off?
