    Code Reader not reading

I have just received my Lead Set for my code reader. It's a Sealey hand-held unit, which works well with other vehicles, but though it powers up from my 95 S2Avant, it says it cant communicate with ECU (or something like that). The plugs are coloured Black and White (Assume they plug into B & W sockets in fusebox?? The Blue one not used????)
    Any suggestions?
No specific probs with engine electronics, but curious to read/delete old fault codes. Also- when/if I can get this to work, is it likely to resd ABS faults?
    Thanks.

      just read it again..........

you will more than likely have to power it up, there is 4 pins yes, + and -, K line and L line you may have to live and earth the unit for it to power up, had to do this with both of my URS4`s and my URS4 powered A4 ECU, but not on my standard 6a powered 80 Quattro for some reason?!

Yep, it's getting power, just wont read.
2 minutes after I opened the bonnet, the heavens opened- so I couldnt pursue it. K & L Leads???
They were bought as being made specifically for Audis, so I would assume they are correct

            Thank You Sean, Very Kind!
I looked again at the leads I have today, and can see the markings on the plugs as you suggested.
Taking the Avant to France for the weekend (to watch Wales stuff the French), and was hoping I could have read/cleared any faults before the trip.
Consequently; I wont be able to have another go until mid next week.
If unsuccessful; could I take you up on your offer?
            Tony
