You can download the ZDL (Zeitronix Data Logger) software that works with ZT2 from http://www.zeitronix.com/zdl

It works fine on Windows 7.

As for Vagcom, you'll need a recent version to work with w7, and you'll struggle doing any proper logging with it due to the technical limitations of the oldskool OBD interface our cars run. Mine always bombs out if i try to do a run.

There are no conflicts between Vagcom or the Zeitronix kit if that's what you mean?

      cheers for that Andy....

as for the vagcom, will it work with XP?.....I am loathed to run that but it would be a shame if I have a laptop set up for ZT stuff and not check codes would be sacrilege....

Vagcom will run on w7, ive recently had VCDS-Lite 1.2 running absolutely fine, but if you have an older copy then yes, you'll need XP.

If you have w7 you can easily download and run xp mode - http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windows/.../download.aspx

Get a laptop with Windows 7 - do not worry about XP.

If you require XP to run an old copy of VAGCOM then use the xp mode link above... that will emulate a copy of XP on your Windows 7 machine.

If you want to get an updated copy of VAGCOM the official place is http://www.ross-tech.com/products.html

That's nothing to do with what version of windows you run.. it's a limitation with the OBD interface on the car

The point was really just to clarify that you wont be able to do realtime data logging with vagcom like you can with Zeitronix.
