I was under the impression that it was their own blend.

The KX500 is a turbo built by Turboservice. As far as I can see it's mainly 26/27 but they fettle the coldside housing and compressor wheel to get more out of it.

Yes with a #8 hotside IIRC.

From what I can see/tell the KX500 looks like the old school MTM RSR turbo!
            Not that's a bad thing.
The KX400 looks like it uses a 32XX comp wheel which I don't think worked well if you are old enough to remember Doug's experiments.

It surprises me that anybody is running k26/27 hybrids these days. The k27 is a clunker of a compressor wheel. The concept is good because the k26 turbine is huge for the dinky compressor wheel coupled with it, but there are far better/more modern ways to get 43lbs/min for a lot less inertia. The billet wheel we put on the k26 weighs 15 grams less than a k26 wheels and almost half of a k27 wheel. This is how we get nearly identical spool and still have enough compressor to get k27 power output. We have several k26's making over 350whp with 30psi by 3600. This wheel on an rs2 is pretty awesome too, with full boost 300-400 rpm sooner than the cast rs2, but enough compressor to make 320-330whp. It won't hold 30psi to 7000 like the full k26, but htat is just a byproduct of a smaller turbine.

that#s sound like a graet upgrade for stock rs2 turbo and k26
is there rough estimate if i wish to upgrade my old turbo?

750$US for the upgrade, including a new 360 bearing, completely rebuilt with new parts, VSR balanced and returned bead blasted looking 100% brand new.

725$US for a k26 upgrade and 625$US for rs2 upgrade. They are on my website at Irozmotorsport.com
