Just managed to feed 12v to the black plug and attached the blink code reader, I've never used it before but here is what it did:
Blinked 4 times then paused blinked 4 times then paused blinked once then paused blinked twice then paused for a few seconds then repeated
Am I reading that correct as 4412 ?
Tonight I should have access to a scannerComment

•4411 (Blink Fault Code), 01249 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
Fuel Injector for Cylinder 1, (N30)
Open or short circuit, +12V supply circuit breaker or fuse open
Symptom: Engine runs rough or stalls
So apart from the obvious, i.e. bad connection at the injector, is the injector fuse a spade fuse or a thermal auto re-set breaker?RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

I do not know or understand why you are having electrical issues but for this one (the 4411 code), if the fuse is fine, I would want to check the wiring TO and FROM the fuse holder for breaks, cracks, loose connectors, what have you, etc. The S28 powers both the injectors and the MAF according to Paul N's ABY wiring diagrams.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

Well lets see if a proper scanner throws up anything this evening
I've not been anywhere near the underside of the dash in that area
Also I'd like to add ref the symptoms that the engine runs sweet not rough and never stalls its just these revs and low boostComment

Update (again)
Went to Tristans again this evening and put the scanner on, it came up with exactly the same codes as last night
00002
65282
65535
00255
so pressed clear to erase the codes and revved it up, it went over 7k easy!
Went for a drive and fook me we were flying!
Would still only boost to 1.3 bar so returned back and luckily for me Tristan had a compressor.....
boost was leaking from the throttle body hose where the jubilee clip was a bit scu wiff, re-attached etc then put more air in the system.
Could hear a hissing coming from under the intake manifold so investigated to find the leak coming from the PCV Valve!!!
So after sorting the throttle body hose (couldnt do anything with the pcv valve) drove home and is now boosting to 1.5 bar but tailing off really quickly so need to source a new valve.
So, all in all I feel loads better about this, the car pulls really strong and with a 3" exhaust (only 1 small silencer no cats straight through!) sounded LUSH
Codes are a mystery still

i wouldn't worth about the codes too much at this time they may have been ghost codes stored from previous tampering. fix the leak and re scan it and compare the s. you never know once the leak is resolved it may play ball.
this goes to prove my point un plugging the ecu Will not cause it to forget the faults or coding. they were still logged after it was removed.
its a bit like the myth of un plug battery to re set things!
i may be wrong on this and am by no means an expert but its my experiences with VAG cars.Comment
