Rs2 conversion checklist

There seems to be a few debates on here over the years about what is needed to go rs2 spec, I have the following:

Rs2 turbo
Rs2 exhaust manifold
Rs2 inter cooler
Rs2 air box
Rs2 injectors
R201 resistor mod in the ecu
Rs2 chips ( spinks in my case )
Exhaust ( 3" from turbo back only 1 silencer on mine )


So, what am I missing? Some people add fuel pump, fpr valve etc
Others say not necessary

What do you all think ? Any btdt experiences ? Will mine run better if fuel pump and pressure valve fitted ?

You need at least RS pump or better.

Your 4 bar fpr is fine for custom tuning.

RS intercooler is necessary too.

I fitted the FPR as the chips were designed for it but a custom tune can use either, as Rocco says. It's only 5% difference in pressure so arguably a bit pointless but there we go

Exhaust cam and cam belt pulley.are the remaining items.

It all depends on whether you want to stay at RS2 spec or go beyond. The RS2 fuel pump is ok but may be tired if you have used kit. If you have new and want to stay at that spec RS2 is fine but if used, I would go for a beefier pump. I know you have new injectors as you bought them from me so no worries there. HTH

....oh yes RS2 IC is necessary but I went for a Wagner strictly you will need ADU cams but I have stayed with ABY ones....up to you.

RS2 fuel pump for sure IMO, I had a slight splutter and since changing the standard pump things have been alot better.
